Facebook Lead Ads to Google Sheets in real time

2026-10-09

A shared sheet is still the fastest way for a small team to work leads. Three routes get Facebook leads there.

1. Manual CSV export

Meta Business Suite → Instant Forms → Download. Fine for an archive; useless for calling leads while they're hot — and lead files expire after 90 days, so download on schedule.

2. Zapier / Make

"New Lead in Facebook Lead Ads → Add row" works in minutes. The costs show up later: a per-task fee for every single lead, limited retries, and if the sheet is only one of three destinations you pay per destination per lead.

3. Webhook → Google Apps Script

A tiny Apps Script web app accepts a POST and appends a row — free at any volume:

function doPost(e){ const d = JSON.parse(e.postData.contents); SpreadsheetApp.getActive().getSheetByName('Leads') .appendRow([new Date(), d.name, d.phone, d.campaign]); return ContentService.createTextOutput('ok'); }

Deploy → Web app → access: Anyone, and POST to the /exec URL. The catch: Meta's webhook only sends a leadgen_id, not the answers, and it won't talk to Apps Script's handshake. Something in between must answer Meta's challenge, verify the signature, fetch the lead's field_data from the Graph API, and forward clean JSON to the script.

Relayo is that in-between: point Meta at Relayo once, add your Apps Script URL as a receiver, and every lead lands as a row — alongside your CRM and WhatsApp tool.
